Practically all new TV headends in DVB-C, DVB-T and IPTV technologies are adapted for installation in 19″ racks, while the market lacks solutions dedicated to the distribution of satellite signals in 19 in 19″ racks.

Until now it has happened that the distribution of satellite signals was carried out “ad hoc” by installing subsequent cascades of signal splitters, without paying particular attention to the signal level at the outputs of the next splitter. It is well known that the quality of satellite signal reception is strongly dependent on current weather conditions – heavy rain, snow or ice on the dish of the satellite dish significantly reduce the level and quality of the satellite signal. If you receive satellite signals in such installations with several splitter cascades, you may find that satellite reception is unstable and highly dependent on current weather conditions.

Inside the rack two cascades of 9/16 multiswitches are installed, which ensure cooperation with headends or other similar devices. Control of satellite signal switching is from the headend – it is possible to remotely switch the signal supplied to the head of the satellite of the headend to any other satellite transponder using 13 / 18V + 0 / 22kHz + DiSEqC 1.0 control typical for multiswitch systems or DiSEqC 2.0 commands.

The rack with one cascade 5/24 multiswitches, similar to Variant No. II. The second part of the rack was used to install a satellite amplifier with a set of splitters, acting together as a 4-fold active splitter with 11 outputs.

• Multiswitch installation with headend, in 19″ rack mounted – RACK-SAT multiswitch system for one satellite with additional satellite programs processed for television signals (e.g. DVB-T).

Inside the rack is installed a high-quality satellite amplifier with 8 signal paths and appropriately configured splitter kits, acting together as an 8-fold active splitter.

• TVK headend station with ongoing technical support, in which the distribution of individual polarization of satellite signals to specific receiving heads is carried out by making the appropriate cable connection.

  • Hot Bird VL = 9 * + 11 + 11 = 31 output ports
